📖Critical Analysis of the Learning Experience
Critical analysis on ICT as a constructive tool.
During the current semester within the EDN 419 module, which focuses on the role of information and communication technologies (ICT) in teaching and learning, the subject matter that resonated most with me was "ICT as a constructive tool. " Given the rapid advancement of technology in the 21st century, this topic seemed particularly pertinent.
The term "ICT," an acronym for Information and Communication Technology, pertains to the utilization of technological resources for the purpose of acquiring, manipulating, retaining, and transmitting data. When integrated into the educational environment, information and communication technology (ICT) functions as a valuable instrument that improves the quality of the teaching and learning experiences. The aforementioned concept includes a range of digital instruments, software programs, and internet-based tools that enable individuals to gain entrance to information, foster joint work, and cultivate indispensable competencies among pupils.
PowerPoint presentations have become an indispensable tool in the field of education, owing to their ability to augment the learning experience of students through a multitude of ways. In an academic context, it is recognized that PowerPoint software functions as a visual intermediary tool by amalgamating diverse multimedia components, such as textual content, images, videos, and graphs. This enables the presentation of information in a highly structured and aesthetically pleasing format. This aids in the effective comprehension of intricate concepts among students. Furthermore, the utilization of PowerPoint presents a systematic structure for arranging and categorizing information, which enables educators to partition their lessons into distinct segments or subjects, thereby enhancing the learners' level of understanding.
Furthermore, PowerPoint provides educators with the ability to craft captivating and interactive presentations utilizing dynamic animations, seamless transitions, and various multimedia elements, effectively capturing and sustaining the attention of students throughout the lesson. Furthermore, it functions as a supplementary tool that furnishes supplementary details, illustrations, or citations, which learners have the convenience to review at their own pace subsequent to the instructional session.
We looked into how PowerPoint, Excel and Word can be used as a constructive tool in education.
Firstly, PowerPoint application presents itself as a versatile instructional tool for educators, effectively facilitating the presentation of complex or multistep procedures through visually captivating displays. By leveraging this software, scholars can construct interactive demonstrations and models that support students' comprehension and retention of the subject matter. This can greatly enhance the learning experience, as pupils are empowered to closely follow the instructional sequence and more readily grasp the underlying concepts. In addition, it facilitates collaborative efforts among students through the provision of opportunities for group activities aimed at creating presentations on specific subjects. This approach fosters the concurrent development of teamwork and knowledge sharing competencies of the students.
Secondly, Excel is a highly valuable and beneficial tool within the realm of education. Its versatility offers an expansive range of constructive advantages for both students and educators alike. Excel, owing to its robust capabilities of data management and analysis, presents a valuable opportunity for students to augment their analytical skills, comprehend intricate information, and derive informative conclusions. The process of manipulating data, creating charts and graphs, and performing calculations in a learning setting fosters critical reasoning, problem-solving capabilities, and logical thinking among students. Additionally, Excel facilitates the development of collaboration and teamwork skills by enabling students to engage in cooperative project work, exchange data, and collaboratively analyze and interpret information. Integrating Excel into educational contexts offers educators an opportunity to endow learners with a versatile tool that fosters academic competence and provides them with valuable abilities applicable in diverse professional domains.
Thirdly, the utilization of Microsoft Word has become an indispensable and efficacious tool within the domain of education, leading to a revolutionary transformation in the methods students employ to acquire knowledge and communicate with their teachers and peers. The powerful functionalities inherent in the software facilitate a seamless creation, manipulation and structuring of written outputs, thereby promoting and enhancing the aptitude of learners in the areas of writing and organizing their work. The inclusion of spelling and grammar checkers within educational programs contributes to the development of students' language proficiency by providing prompt feedback. Moreover, the collaborative attribute of Microsoft Word enables students to work together effortlessly, thereby facilitating effective group projects and promoting the ethos of teamwork. MS Word provides students with indispensable tools for articulating their thoughts and conducting research, which render it a highly valuable asset in the academic realm. Its aid in the composition of essays and creation of presentations is paramount, facilitating effective and efficient expression of ideas.
Therefore, the topic "ICT as a constructive tool" stood out the most for me.

📖Reflection on one of the article related to ICT in Education
This is the link of the article I reflected on. 👇
Information
and communication technology (ICT) in education | Unesco IIEP Learning Portal
This text talks about how teachers who know how to use technology can help students learn better. It is important for teachers to be able to use technology in their lessons. This means that schools should use many different computer tools to talk to each other, make things, share them, save them, and take care of them. There are different things that can help with learning, like digital whiteboards that let you do things on a screen, using your phone or other devices to learn, and a type of classroom called "flipped" where things are done in a different order than usual.
When teachers know how to use technology and are trained, they can help students think more deeply and be more creative. This also helps students prepare for using technology in their future jobs. Before making a decision, we need to think about a few things. These include how much it will cost and how much we will benefit, what equipment and resources we will need, and how we can help teachers and come up with good rules for using technology in the classroom.
This text shows how important it is to know how to use technology in the world today. People who recently finished school and don't know much about technology might have a harder time finding good work. Having digital skills like finding information, knowing what's important and being able to make and use information is really important so you can fully take part in society. The schools in some countries are using computers and technology to help students learn about technology and become more familiar with it.
Some ways technology can be used in education are: giving every child a laptop, using tablets with educational games, using whiteboards you can touch, reading books on e-readers, and doing homework before class instead of after. However, we still need to study more about what happens and how students feel in flipped classrooms.
It's really important for teachers to learn how to use technology well, especially when it comes to things like testing, teaching students one-on-one, using the internet for research, and helping students work together on projects. It is important to help teachers when they change the way they teach and make sure that people who guide, train, and decide on education also know how to use technology.
Schools need good technology, internet access, and safety measures to get the most out of using computers and other electronic devices. Rules should focus on teaching people the basics of using technology, how to use it for teaching, and ways to apply it to specific school subjects. It's important to create digital stuff in languages spoken in the area and show their way of life. We need help from people, technology, and organization to be able to use computer technology well. We need to keep getting this help to make sure we can use it when we need to.
In situations where there is not a lot of resources, the overall cost of owning technology is very important. It is suggested to use methods that steadily build infrastructure and use technology that is both environmentally friendly and can be easily improved upon. Schools may allow students to bring their own devices, but they need to make sure everyone can get one too, even if they can't afford it or have trouble getting it.
The text talks about making sure everyone feels included. The term "digital divide" means that some people have easier access to the internet and digital things than others. This is true in different countries and even inside some countries. We need guidelines that teach all students how to use the media, internet, and digital technology. Some small groups of people who speak different languages may have difficulty using computers, the internet, and online information in their own language. ICT tools can help students who speak a different language learn the main language by using speech recognition, videos, and chats.
ICT offers many choices for how people learn, so you can learn and show what you know in lots of different ways. Using pictures and touch can be very helpful for learning, and phones and tablets have special programs to help students with special needs.
The text is saying that it's important for students to learn about technology, for teachers to be trained in how to use it, for there to be good technology systems in place, and for everyone to have access to technology so that students can do well in school and be ready for the future.

📖Reflection on the use of ICT educational tools in Teaching and Learning
Before the onset of the 21st century, the utilization of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) was significantly limited due to several factors, including limited workforce expertise in the field of ICT, as well as inadequate availability of essential resources, such as computers and internet connectivity. As the nation underwent modernization, the employment of information and communication technology (ICT) proliferated even in the remotest villages as a result of the accessibility of computer amenities and internet connectivity. Upon my birth in a geographically isolated rural village, access to electricity was not established until my attainment of eighth grade, thus rendering me a newcomer to the field of ICT. While a number of individuals may have possessed the financial means to acquire and maintain ownership of a television set, my own personal circumstances limited the extent to which I was able to enjoy access to such technology. Upon my arrival at Dechenchholing Higher Secondary School in Thimphu, I was granted accessibility to the Internet, mobile devices, and computers that were readily available within the institution's premises.
The use of information and communication technology (ICT) in teaching and learning has unquestionably revolutionized the field of education. ICT integration into the educational landscape has become more and more important as technology advances at a rapid rate.
The utilization of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in educational settings offers a significant advantage through its capacity to grant access to copious amounts of information. By merely clicking a few buttons, students are granted the opportunity to investigate a diverse array of educational sources such as websites, virtual archives, digital books, and various forms of multimedia materials. The immediate accessibility of information allows for students to actively participate in self-guided learning, thereby affording them the opportunity to delve into topics that extend beyond the boundaries of conventional textbooks and lectures within a classroom setting. The act of broadening one's horizons through exposure to novel and diverse stimuli serves to foster critical thinking abilities, creativity, and the capacity for effective problem-solving.
Moreover, as teachers, we can always look forward to using ICT tools as medium of Information, Communication, Situating tool, Constructive tool, and co-constructive tools.
