During a journey to Bjemina, situated in the upper Khasadrapchu region of Thimphu, a collection of flowers came to my attention. The present image depicting a floral arrangement affords an opportunity for imparting knowledge on the subject of flowers to students. 

Floral species offer an instructive context to communicate the requisite temperatures, both minimum and maximum, that are imperative for optimal growth and sustained survival within a given geographic locale.

It is also possible to provide instruction to children regarding the seasons which are optimal for planting specific flowers and the corresponding timeframes for their flowering.

ICT Designing Learning Activity

 Class: IV

Subject: Science                   

Topic: Making Connections

Learning Resources: Youtube, Kahoot (A game based learning platform), Phet Simulation


Instructions:

  1. Open the link provided below and watch the video. You will be able to understand what a circuit means and what are the two types of circuits and how to make those circuit connections. (241) Electrical Circuits - Series and Parallel -For Kids - YouTube

  2. After watching the video, go to the Phet Simulation link below. There you will an interface where you will be able to create circuits using provided materials. https://phet.colorado.edu/sims/html/circuit-construction-kit-ac-virtual-lab/latest/circuit-construction-kit-ac-virtual-lab_en.html

  3. Now create a series circuit and check whether the bulb lights, if the bulb gives light, take a screenshot of the diagram and send it to our class group chat in Telegram (Class_IV_Science). (Assessment)

  4. After that, make a parallel circuit and then send the screenshot of the diagram to the telegram like before.

  5. After watching the video, go to the Kahoot link below and answer the question provided in the link. (Assessment)
